  • 2/3 cups of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cups of Albers Corn Meal
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoons of salt
  • 1 ¼ cups of milk
  • 02 eggs
  • 1/3 cups of vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoon of melted butter
  • Baking pan
  • An oven
  • A medium bowl and a small bowl

How To Do:

  •  Step 1:

Heat up your oven to 350°F. While waiting for your oven to be preheated, cover your baking pan with vegetable oil so that the Albers cornmeal is not attached tightly to the pan after being baked

  •  Step 2:

Put flour, cornmeal, salt, baking powder and sugar into your medium bowl and then mix them all evenly. You have a mixture of eggs, vegetable oil, butter and milk in the other small bowl.

Be noted that you should mix all of these two mixtures well so that your Albers cornmeal is not starchy later on.After that, add the small bowl of the larger bowl. Keep stirring until the mixture is blended. Pour the well-stirred mixture into the baking pan.

  •  Step 3:

Now that your oven is heated up, carefully open the oven and put the mixture in Step 3 into the oven. Bake the pan for around 35 minutes. When the wooden pick in the center cracks, well your Albers Cornmeal is ready to serve.

  • 2 cups of Albers cornmeal

  • 2 cups of milk
  • Medium and small bowls
  • A pan
  • An oven

How To Do:

  •  Step 1:

Put flour, Albers cornmeal, sugar, salt and baking powder into the medium bowl. Mix them together well

  •  Step 2:

Combine eggs, oil, and milk in the other small bowl and also mix them thoroughly

  •  Step 3:

Pour the liquid combination in the dry ingredients. Stir them together until the mixture is blended. Be noted that the mixture shall not be over mixed

  •  Step 4:

Grease the pan or if you don’t have a pan, use any skillet with equivalent size of a pan. Then pour the mixture into the pan or skillet

  •  Step 5:

Bring the pan into the oven and turn the heat on at 400°F for around 25 minutes or until you feel your Albers Cornbread is well cooked. Please be careful when you open the oven to check whether your cornbread is ok.

Now when your Albers Cornbread is done baking, slowly remove it from the oven, let it cool, and then you can enjoy it.


#3 Recipe Albers Buttermilk Cornbread

This recipe used to be prepared by my grandmother. I love it so much. To make it easier to enjoy, I make some modifications compared to my grandmother’s cooking recipe. To have delicious buttermilk cornbread, you have to spend about an hour to make a 9-person serving.

​What To Prepare:

  • 1/2 cups of butter
  • 2/3 cups of white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup of buttermilk
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 cup of cornmeal
  • 1 cup of flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • An oven
  • A small skillet

How To Do:

  •  Step 1:

First, heat your oven up to 375°F. While waiting for your oven to be preheated, cover your skillet with vegetable oil

  •  Step 2:

Melt butter in the skillet. Stir the melted butter with sugar. Then quickly put eggs into the mixture of sugar and butter. Stir them well until they are blended.

  •  Step 3:

Mix buttermilk and baking soda. Then pour them into the mixture you prepare in Step 2. Later, put cornmeal, salt, and flour into the liquid mixture. Keep stirring the mixture well until it is well blended. Pour it into the pan.

  •  Step 4:

I can provide you with a tip to keep your cornbread moist. Use aluminum foil to cover the pan. I am sure that you will be very satisfied with the taste and flavor of your Albers cornbread.


#4 Recipe: Bacon And Green Chile Cornbread

This cornbread recipe is very delicious and can be served for your dinner in the large family gathering. It takes you around one hour to prepare and bake the cornbread. However, don’t worry. Although the name of this cornbread might feel like something complicated, it is not at all. Let’s start.

​What To Prepare:

  • 2 strips of bacon
  • 1/2 cups of chopped onion
  • Salt and pepper
  • Chopped garlic
  • 2 cups of Albers cornmeal
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 2 cups of buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 tablespoon of butter
  • Chopped green chilies

How To Do:

  •  Step 1:

Heat up your oven first at around 450°F.

  •  Step 2:

Chop your strip of bacon then saute it in a pan. Let the pan to be heated at medium to high fire. Then, add onions to the pan and season your bacon with a little salt and pepper. Keep sauteing the onions until they are tender. Add more garlic to the bacon pan and stir well. Once the garlic is tender, pour the mixture into a bowl.

  •  Step 3:

Mix baking powder, salt, baking soda and the cornmeal together in your large bowl. Stir this mixture well and try not to over mix. Besides, stir eggs, buttermilk, and chilies. Pour this liquid into the bacon. Stir the mixture of bacon and the liquid well and evenly. After that, put the ingredients in your large bowl into the mixture. Stir steadily until they are well blended.

  •  Step 4:

Put the blended mixture into the pan and put the pan into the oven. Keep baking for about 30 minutes or until the top of the mixture turns golden brown.

  •  Step 5:

While waiting for the cornbread is done baking, prepare the mixture of melted butter, salt and sugar by heating it into a pan. When the cornbread is removed from the oven, pour this glaze over all the cornbread. Now it is time for you to serve your bacon Albers cornbread.
